Typically people start showing up at 8:30.

Janet, There are a few options for lessons. you can check out the lessons page http://ybi.sxl.mybluehost.me/lessons to contact an instructor that is in your area, or you can sign up for one of the sessions at Fort Monmouth through Monmouth County Park System. http://ybi.sxl.mybluehost.me/ft-mon-new-programs/. I will continue to post new opportunities for MCPS sessions on the website.
any game playing for pickleball on indoor courts?
There has been some discussion, but nothing firm about playing indoors at the Y.
