Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you have a healthy and happy holiday and are ready to get out and work off that stuffing and gravy on Friday with some good pickleball.

It looks as though it will be a dry week albeit cooler than many prefer.

10-day forecast

Outdoor Play

In an effort to help everyone find the right games and times that work, Kim and I have been discussing having a target night for the various groups at the Red Bank Y and Fort Monmouth. That is not to say that there isn’t play other nights, but instead to say that we want to focus peoples’ efforts at supporting play on these 2 nights. We know that this transition time is making outdoor play unpredictable and hope this provides a way that works.

Since the Fort Monmouth Schedule is set, we figured it would make sense to work around that (subject to change in December). Keep in mind that the Y is still open for everyone and you are encouraged to play wherever you want.

By focusing on these 2 nights, we hope to help a larger number of people congregate at the venues.

Monday NIghts

  • Experienced Players – Fort Monmouth (Indoors)
  • Beginners/Advanced Beginners – YMCA (Outdoors)

Thursday Nights

  • Beginners./Advanced Beginners – Fort Monmouth (Indoors)
  • Experienced Players – YMCA (Outdoors)

If you have comments or suggestions, please let us know.

Tip of the Week

Since it’s a holiday week, I wanted to share another fun video.

Last Week’s Poll

Last week’s poll captured what I have suspected for quite a while. The community has really taken off over the past year (in great part because of Kim’s efforts to grow the sport).

Carol, You can always see what time open play is by either going to the location page or the calendar. I post new times and schedules as soon as they are made available to me.
