Boy, hard to believe that Thanksgiving is almost here. It seems like yesterday where we were blinded by the setting sun at the Y at 7:30 and here we are lucky to make it down to the Y while the sun is still up.

Aside from a few Monday morning showers, looks to be a seasonable week for outdoor play with temps in the lower 50’s throughout most of the week.

10-day forecast

I am always looking for ways to improve the site and make the site work better for you. If you have any suggestions, please provide them via the Contact Form.

Outdoor Play

A number of people are asking me when is a good time to go down to the Community Y to play. I had set up a mailing list for polar bears, but wondering if I should also create a mailing list for the Y? I’m interested in your thoughts about that or provide other ideas (please add a comment below).

Eventually, I’d like to get to a point where you can just check “I’m going” on any open play session to let people know who will be playing where/when, but that’s more work than I have time for at the moment, so email may be the short-term solution that might help everyone find the right game.

The Nationals

In case you missed the 18 hours of live play this past weekend from the USAPA National Championships, all three days are available for replay on the GoLive SportsCast site: link

Monday Night Pickleball

I’ve been having an issue with this on the calendar so I’ve been asked to remind people that starting tonight that Fort Monmouth has a Monday night session for experienced players from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. This is the first time this session is available. I know a lot of folks are still playing outdoors, but also know people are looking for more opportunities to play inside.  Hope to see you there!

Tip of the Week

For the tip this week, I want to emphasize the importance of slowing the game down. This will help you make better shots and raise the level of your game.

Last Week’s Results

It does seem that we have diversity when it comes to cold. Glad to see so many people willing to play when it’s in the 20’s.

This Week’s Poll

This week’s poll is looking to understand the communities experience.

Would love to know that folks will be at YMCA PB courts and when. E-mail is fine for contact method as I am sure many of us get e-mail on our phones and keep our PB gear in the car so we can just leave our cart at Foodtown and hustle over.
