I hope everyone’s enjoying their summers and have been able to get away for a nice vacation. If you’re like me, it’s about now where you start counting down the days until we can take back the roads and beaches.

Fall Leagues & Lessons

For those that might not have seen, the Community YMCA has sign-up sheets for both Leagues that will start in September and for Lessons. Look for those sheets where you sign in on the gray clipboard. If you’re interested and can’t find the sheet, head to the main desk and ask to sign up.

East Side Park (Harrison Ave)

There have been no updates on the tree issue at Harrison Ave. If you normally play there, I suggest you get your group over to the Community YMCA while it’s still free.  Hopefully, they get this issue resolved this week.

Tip of the week

This week, I wanted to add something new to the weekly update. It comes in the form of a tip. If you come across any tips that you’d like to share with others, send them my way.

This week’s tip is about dinking and it comes from Sarah Ansboury.

Last week’s results

Tournament news

I added 2 new tournaments to the calendar. The first comes way of Anne Hart 3rd Annual Relish the Day Tournament which is being hosted on September 9th-10th. The other is for those ambitious souls that play singles. The 2017 Summer Single Series is on August 27th. Thanks, Paul Donohoe for sending that. Additional information for each event is on the event page.
