Volunteers Needed for MetLife Event
In partnership with CNBC, Telemundo 47 and Network Events, USAPA Ambassadors and fellow pickleball players are needed as volunteers to share the sport with the public at the 6th Annual Health & Fitness Expo to be held at MetLife (Giant) Stadium.
DATE: Saturday, June 23rd & Sunday, June 24th
PLACE: MetLife Giant Stadium, Rutherford, NJ
Time: 8am – 5pm for the 2 days
80+ volunteers will be needed over this two-day event free to the public to promote healthy lifestyles. Pickleball will be one of the many activities for attendees to experience and enjoy.
Volunteer activities will include:

Greeting the public
-
Managing the flow of visitors

Answering questions about pickleball (e.g., rules, where to play, how to find lessons)

Scheduled demonstrations and basic coaching
Volunteers will be divided into morning (8AM – 1PM) and afternoon (1PM – 5PM) shifts.

Clark Summer Smackdown
Clark Recreation Center along with Johnny Smashmouth and 002 Pickleball present the 2018 Summer Smackdown Pickleball Championships! The tournament features individual and advanced brackets for men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and advanced singles.
What: Outdoor pickleball tournament
When: Saturday July, 7th & Sunday, July 8th
Where: Clark Recreation Center, 430 Westfield Ave, Clark, NJ
Levels: Intermediate (2.0 – 3.0); Advanced (3.5 & Up; Men’s Advanced Doubles may be broken up into two categories: 3.5, 4.0 and up.)
Schedule of Play:
Saturday 7/7
9 AM: Men’s Doubles Advanced
12 PM: Women’s Doubles Advanced
2 PM: Women’s Doubles Intermediate
3:30 PM: Men’s Doubles Intermediate
Sunday 7/8
9 AM: Mixed Doubles Intermediate
12 PM: Mixed Doubles Advanced
3 PM: Advanced Singles
Registration Info: $15 includes 1 event; $10 per each additional event; maximum of 3 events per person. Complete registration form and submit payment by Thursday, July 5th at 9 PM.

- 4 outdoor courts
- Games to 15, win by 1 (switch at 8)
- Ball used: Franklin X40
- Arrive 45 minutes early for registration
- Double elimination practice courts open at 8:30 AM
