It was brought to my attention that there was a scheduling issue last Monday night at Fort Monmouth. This in part was my fault because the calendar on the website was not updated with the changes to the schedule. As a result of the mistake, someone gave the Rangers a particularly difficult time. I was told that as a result of the disrespect that was shown to the Rangers because of the mistake, that Jim has been asked not to schedule more pickleball time in the gym, even if time is available.

I want everyone to understand that this type of behavior hurts the entire pickleball program not only at Fort Monmouth but everywhere we play. We don’t want to be seen as a disrespectful group that doesn’t care about others. Whether it be in person, or in e-mail or any other venue, treating others with respect is paramount.

While we all get frustrated when thing get messed up, please make sure that you treat others with the respect that you expect to be treated with by others. We are all doing our best and the Rangers do an exceptional job at making sure the facility is ready for us and deserve our thanks, not our ridicule.

Fortunately, Jim has reassured me that there will be more pickleball hours in January.

Thanks Gregg, sorry this has happened. Truly unfortunate for everyone concerned.
I’m hoping to utilize the December schedule for beginners on Tuesday @ 9:30 am and Wednesday 9 am. That’s on the calendar. All good with those dates for the month of December??? That hasn’t been cancelled?

Yup, I’ve verified that the calendar is now in lock-step with the Fort’s schedule.
